Good Morning

Today, I head for ‘The Dragon.’ This is known throughout the Motorcycle World as a favorite road for Motorcyclists. It spans the Tennesse and North Carolina border. I am looking forward to it. After that, another scenic route through the Cherahola Parkway (sp?). I should end up in either Chattanooga, TN or Birmingham, AL depending …

Great Drive Today!

Although it was chilly along the Blueridge Parkway, it was very much worth it!! By far, the best part of my drives so far on this trip. It wasn’t too bad since the sun was out, but did get a bit chilly in some spots. I would highly recommend the Blueridge Parkway Route! It is …

Another Cold One!

Well, I am taking my time getting going this morning. Looking for that Sun to get up just a bt more before i head out. It was 37 F when I woke up this morning. Brrrrr…. Just glad it didn’t snow like they said it might. Well, not too much, just some light flurries, but …

Short Day

I am here in Roanoke, VA. It was a short day compared to my other jaunts on this trip. The drive through Skyline Drive was at a posted speed limit of 35 MPH. I stayed at that for some of the time. 😉 Given that lengthy run of relatively short mileage and the fact that …

Brrrrrrr… It’s Cold!!!

The title says it all. It is cold! Made it through Skyline Drive and it was well worth the slower pace. Great scenic overlooks. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend it. Just go when its warmer if you don’t have a heater. Once I get a bit warmed up, I’ll head out for Roanoke, …

The Return Home

Today I begin my long road home. I am looking forward to my ride over the bext couple days. Should be a pleasant and scenic ride albeit a bit chilly.

Pics

Here are the pics I took on the last leg of my trip through the mountains.

It Is Done

Grand total = 1720 miles I am here and it is time to relax for a few days. I’ll post some pics I took today later, but probably not tonight. I am tired. Talk to you more soon. Looks like I will be back on the road come Monday for the return trek.

Can You Hear Me Now?

Today’s updates may be few and far between. Some of the routes I’m taking have scant cell coverage. But I must say, so far the drive has been very satisfying. 1) No rain!!! I’ve actually had to pull out the sunglasses. 2) Great scenic ride. 3) Lots of nice twisties!

Last Day?

By the end of the day, I hope to be at my brothers. Hopefully will be a smooth ride and my GPS software will cooperate. Well, times wasting, so better get all packed up and on the road. Talk to you more soon!
